Dear Town of Grimsby Residents:
We recognize the frustration and inconvenience caused by multiple outages in a short period of time. Thank you for your patience and understanding as crews worked through complex system events.
On July 1st, Grimsby Power crews responded to multiple outage events, including storm-related damage and transmission supply issues from Hydro One. Grimsby Power crews worked throughout these events to restore service as safely and efficiently as possible. While the transmission supply issue was outside of Grimsby Power’s control, our crews remained focused on supporting affected customers and restoring power as quickly as conditions allowed.
On July 2nd, as crews were restoring the system to its normal configuration protection equipment at the station operated resulting in another widespread outage. Our crews responded quickly and restored power within an hour.
We will continue to closely monitor our systems and respond to outages quickly and efficiently to ensure reliable service for the Town of Grimsby.
