To receive electricity service in Grimsby, we require an application for service. The application can be completed online, in office or a completed application can be mailed in. If you have any questions about the application process please call us at 905‐945‐ 5437 option 2.
A security deposit is required for all customers. The amount of the security deposit will be 2.5 times the average bill during the most recent 12 consecutive months.
The security deposit can be waived with a good payment history of 5 years for a General Service 50 account from an electricity or natural gas utility in Canada. The security deposit may also be reduced for General Service >50 customer based on a credit rating from a recognized credit rating agency.
A business application must be received at least 10 business days in advance of the date you are responsible for the electricity to allow adequate time to process the request.
There is a $30.00 account set‐up fee for all customers that will be charged on the first invoice.
